Providing Support for Families in Need

As the founder of We Deserve Care Too and the visionary behind Logan & Friends Inclusive Academy of Winter Haven, I have dedicated my life to advocating for children with special needs. I have served on multiple county and state boards, fighting to pass legislation and improve School Readiness Programs so that every child, regardless of diagnosis, has access to the care and education they deserve.

 

But this work is not just professional—it is deeply personal.

 

As the mother of a child on the autism spectrum, I know the heartbreak and exhaustion families face every day. In just two years, I lost five jobs because I could not find safe, inclusive care for my son. He was terminated from six childcare centers and denied by nineteen others solely because of his diagnosis. I spent countless days driving from county to county just to make sure he could receive the therapies he needed.

 

There were moments when I felt defeated, isolated and alone. This journey is not easy—especially when you do not have a village.

 

That is why Logan & Friends is so much more than a childcare center. It is a promise. A promise that no family should have to choose between their job and their child’s care. A promise that no child should be turned away because they learn differently. A promise to build the village I wish we had—a place where children are loved, included, and given every opportunity to thrive, and where families finally feel seen, supported and understood.
